“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23 NKJV
As I say firmly – Mountain, be thou removed! Today is the day of salvation! Amen!
The word. It creates life, and it has the power to heal, save and transform people. Faith comes by hearing therefore it is important to speak it – speak so you can hear it! Build your faith! Speak so the enemy can hear it. Speak because God is always with you and hears you. Speak – use the word.
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 NIV
Yes, speak the word and sing your spiritual sword! Yesterday I fell silent in reverence and love – quietly enjoying my Father. But today I am noisy! Today I speak! Today is the day of salvation and now is the time! I am renewed in spirit and strength. So today – let’s look at the power of the spoken word of the Lord our God!
Above we see it moves mountains – spiritual obstacles, cold stubborn hearts of man, and evil, although I have no doubt it can also move physical mountains if ever there was a need.
Because this Word is a sharp sword with unknown size reaching physical locations as well as spiritual locations – transcending laws of physics as God has many times. Yet it is careful and precise – separating joints and marrow is an exact job. It is merciful and compassionate as is the task of dividing soul and spirit. It is a holy and just job of a ruler and Judge, a Magistrate, piercing and cutting into the heart bringing conviction with repentance and revelation that the punishment has already been paid.
Today I speak that verse out – Lord, send that sword into the hearts and thoughts of my loved ones who desperately need to be transformed by your spirit! Bring Life! Life more abundantly! – Amen
“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21 NIV
Head to this warning and do not speak evil or death – speak only life as we must give an account of our words. And the reason we must account is because words hold such great power!
Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4 NIV
The Bible is the inspired WORD of God and as we see from the beginning in Genesis it is the spoken word. Much of the New Testament was written letters – meant to be read out loud and to be heard! The word is meant to be spoken and there is power in the act of speaking it.
“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11 NIV
Hallelujah and Amen! The word of the lord completes it task. I think about all the verses and the word of my testimony which I have spoken (and Pastors and others have spoken) and how it is out there stirring in the hearts of those who heard. It may have been robbed, oppressed, pushed down, and/or put aside – but it is in there stirring. It will achieve the purpose for which God sent it. The purpose??? That none should perish but all will have eternal life! The purpose??? So all of the people will come to know and love their creator. Amen?
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 NIV
So we speak in Spirit and in Truth – bringing God to physical ear and spiritual ones – speech can move into hearts and should and assist the Holy Spirit with His ministry.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 NIV
Let start at the beginning –
“By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.” Psalms 33:6 NIV
The Lord spoke and spoken word has the power of creation –
“And God said” Genesis 1 verses 3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 26, 29 and all things were created.
Then let’s move to “the word was God” and consider verse 14:
“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 NIV
Speaking – Flesh – OH the grace!!!!! I hope you can make this connection!!! And yes, it always comes back to GRACE!!! Praise the Lord. It is this grace that we might use the power to further the Kingdom of Heaven!!! Hallelujah
His Word – us speaking HIM, literally – us speaking Him in Prayer – HAS the power to move mountains, save souls, manifest the completed work of the cross, cast out demons and heal the sick. This, this is also grace – so much is the GRACE OF GOD!
“Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” Proverbs 16:24 NIV
